OpenStudy (anonymous):

The endpoints of one diagonal of a rhombus are (0, -8) and (8, -4). If the coordinates of the 3rd vertex are (1, 0), what are the coordinates of the 4th vertex? (7, -12) (7, -8) (-8, -4) (-4, -12)

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Hint: use the property that the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. So the mid-point of (0,-8) and (8, -4) is the same as that of the other diagonal (1,0) and (x,y). the mid point formula is ((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2)
