The map of a walking trail is drawn on a coordinate grid with three points of interest. The trail starts at R(−2, 4) and goes to S(3, 4) and continues to T(3, −1). The total length of the walking trail is ____ units. (Input whole numbers only.)

you can use the distance formula to find the distance between each set of points \[d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\]

And that's exactly what i was going to say :) !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just need two point. use two out of the three in plug them into the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example to find the distance between R and S it's \[d=\sqrt{(3-(-2))^2+(4-4)^2}\] \[d=\sqrt{25}\] \[d=5\]

Do the same for the distance between S and T. Then add the two distances together
