A ball is thrown upward from the top of a building. The function below shows the height of the ball in relation to sea level, f(t), in feet, at different times, t, in seconds: f(t) = −16t2 + 48t + 100 The average rate of change of f(t) from t = 3 seconds to t = 5 seconds is _____feet per second. Answer for Blank 1:
@DaBest21
f(5)−f(3)5−3=−60−1002=−80 so its -80
Thank you, could you help me with a few more?
A basketball is thrown upwards. The height f(t), in feet, of the basketball at time t, in seconds, is given by the following function: f(t) = −16t2 + 94t + 12 Which of the following is a reasonable domain of the graph of the function when the basketball falls from its maximum height to the ground? 2.9375 < t < 6 2 < t < 5 1 < t < 4 0 < t < 3
ok
@DaBest21
How do you know?
Could you kind of explain how you got it?
Alright
So it's a?
@CoinBank77 hes got it right?
do u need me
Not sure, he's said D,B,then A. Yeah I'd like your help @DaBest21
ok
i believe a because 1 through 2.9376 is where it begins to be a positive number and 5 is where it ends not 100% shure though
@Abhisar
That sounds right, and it's the same answer janu got before he deleted all his responses. Can you help me a few more questions?
one sec @Abhisar might come to check
Alright, I hope he's able to!
its a she not a he. i deleted my comment because i helped you with the first one and you gvae medal to some other person so ya laters
@DaBest21 Ready for another? Abhisar didn't respond
A quadratic equation is shown below: x2 + 18x + 76 = 0 Which of the following is the first correct step to write the above equation in the form (x − p)2 = q, where p and q are integers? Add 9 to both sides of the equation Add 5 to both sides of the equation Subtract 5 from both sides of the equation Subtract 9 from both sides of the equation
@welshfella
@pooja195
b
Hmm, @DaBest21 any comments or is B right?
You there?
The graphs of f(x) and g(x) are shown below: What are the solutions to the equation f(x) = g(x)? x = −3, 4 x = −3.8, −0.4 x = −3.8, 3 x = 6.5, −6
