The graph shows two lines, A and B. Part A: How many solutions does the pair of equations for lines A and B have? Explain your answer. (5 points) Part B: What is the solution to the equations of lines A and B? Explain your answer.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

for part A--- how many times do the lines intersect... that is how many solutions exist

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

part B--- just read off the point where the lines intersect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it intersects once

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

^^

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so that is part A done... part B what is the point of intersection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats where i get confused

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

u go to the right first

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so the x value is 1st followed by the y value... what is the x value where the lines intersect

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

then go up

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

if the coordinates were (4, 6) then u would go over 4 and go up 6

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I'll let others help you to avoid to many responses at once
