In My Bondage and My Freedom, Frederick Douglass expresses his gratitude to those who help him learn to read, but does not identify them because they might get into trouble. Why does he include this information?

Because he dosent name them so i could also see that he is afraid of whtie ppl but he didnt name them cause they helped him and he didnt want them to get into troble
