Suppose you want to test the effectiveness of a certain drug for treating a disease—that is, you want to see if using the drug is better the standard treatment. You select 150 patients to give the drug, and 150 patients to give the standard treatment. Name at least five factors you should control for in your samples to make the test more random.

I'm thinking lol where's your head at lml

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean? @MrProphecyXII

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean what are youthinking could be a few correct answers :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh @MrProphecyXII in all honesty I have no idea for this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah lol Same Um Just think of some factors Like let's say the Drug...And see how it makes it more random...Because this honestly doesnt seem like a random situation lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree. maybe since the drug is for treating a disease, how bad the disease is affecting each person should be controlled? @MrProphecyXII

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That sounds reasonable. And you could change how many people get the offshore drug and how many people get the mornal treat ment to make it seem a bit more randomI suppose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah true. I really cant think of anything else though haha @MrProphecyXII

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um if they treat them for other random diseases?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whatttt? @MrProphecyXII

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm so lost right now I'm sorry xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha I am too! its okay! I just texted my friend who claims to be good at math so maybe he can figure it out haha. thanks so much for the help! @MrProphecyXII
