An archer aims an arrow and then pulls back on the bow string and bends the bow. Which describes the relationship of potential and kinetic energy in this case? A. While the string and bow are bent, they have maximum potential energy and no kinetic energy. B. While the string and bow are bent, potential energy and kinetic energy are equal. C. While the string and bow are bent, they have neither potential energy nor kinetic energy. D. While the string and bow are bent, they have maximum kinetic energy and no potential energy.

you came to my rescue @radar
i'm thinking A
The act of bending the bow would be kinetic (arm pulling the string back). Now that the bow is bent it is like a compressed spring and would be at its maximum potential., I'm thinking A also.
That's what I'd go with. no movement = no kinetic energy
thanks you both. :)
You're welcome, good luck with your studies and thanks to peachpi for confirmations.
