The graph of a system of equations with different slopes will have no solutions. a. Always b. Sometimes c. Never

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats the whole question it doesnt show a graph or anything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Different slope probably means they will meet at some point of the graph so they will have a solution. Parallel lines will not have solution cause they don't meet .

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

B. @LynFran Its asking, if it will have solutions not if there is gonna be a solution on a particular graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So why would it be B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never, they will always have solutions. The only time there are no solutions is IF the slopes are the SAME (because that will be a parallel line).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the slopes are same then the solutions will be same.. but if the slopes are different then the solutions will always be different.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it could be sometimes if there are parallel lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parallel lines have same slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thank you

np :)
