Which statement best describes the graph of x3 − 3x2 − x + 3? It starts down on the left and goes up on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = −1, 2, and 3. It starts down on the left and goes up on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = −1, 1, and 3. It starts up on the left and goes down on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = −1, 2, and 3. It starts up on the left and goes down on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = −1, 1, and 3.
when highest degree is odd then if leading coefficient is positive right side will rise , left end will fall AND if leading coefficient is negative then right end will fall and left end will rise so leading coefficient is negative or positive ?
postive?
yes right
are you allowed to graph it ? if yes then point where line cross x-axis is x-intercept
its just multiple choice so I have to pick an answer but i can try graphing it
okay or you can substitute y for 0 to find x-intercept
so what's ur answer?
I got..... It starts up on the left and goes down on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = −1, 1, and 3. @Nnesha
but now I'm thinking its more like b
so which one ? read what i posted above when leading coefficient is positive left side increase or decrease ?
Im think B is correct if I did my graph right
yes right
so b is correct?
graphing is good but you don't really need after that info if leading coefficient is positive then left side will fall and right side will rise
thank you!
my pleasure :=)
