hi how do i du 10^7 powr. dos that mean i du 7 zeros

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it would be 10,000,000

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

\[\large 10^7\] since the exponent is 7 it means write 10 7 times \[\large (10)(10)(10)(10)(10)(10)(10)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whenever you are putting 10 to the power of something, you just add that many zeros

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 10^12 would be 1,000,000,000,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow dats a lot ok thx

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

so the final result would be 10,000,000 or a good shortcut would be to just write 1 and 7 zeros

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tag me if you have any other questions of this type

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I'll add a bit more information this is scientific notation when we have a positive exponent like \[\large 10^4 \] it means write 1 and 4 zeros. the exponent is 4 so write 4 zeros 10,000

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

if we have a negative exponent like \[\large 10^{-4}\] using the exponent rule (since negative exponents aren't allowed) we have \[\large \frac{1}{10^4} \rightarrow \frac{1}{10,000}\] computing that big fraction will give us \[\large 0.0001\] so for the first 0 you just write that number and then write a decimal point.. and then the remaining zeros.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

or the shortcut method would be to write 0. first and then then remaining zeros followed by a 1 it's backwards 0.0001

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course i didnt get any medals fml

OpenStudy (max1409):

no one help him

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (max1409):

he wrote this on my question hey max you don't know the simplest stuff man you've gotta figure out this junk instead of going on this website like a retard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hes just a troll
