how to find the maximum value of a function f(x)=-4(x-6)^2+3. I know i need to use -b/2a but i don't know what to plug in.

-b/(2a) = h and this is the x value of the vertex (h, k)
f(h) is the y value and since this is the vertex it is the maximum or minimum
when a is positive the parabola opens up so k is a minimum and when a is negative then the parabola opens down and k is a maximum
