Point C is the center of the circle. If angle ACB measures ( 1/2 x+6) and arc AB measures (x+1), find x
use theta= length of arc/radius, if radius given
need more ino
info
whats the radius
That's it, that's all I was given. No radius or diameter
okay... hmmm....
um......
There has to be an answer, there is multiple questions on this assignment just like this. So it's not a typo with missing information
@iambatman
Okay tell me the options
Is the x in terms of radius?
I have no idea, there are no options. Its a written response question

What class is this? Calculus, Pre-Calculus?
What class is this? Calculus, Pre-Calculus?
Every which way I look at it seems to need more information...... I want to know if this can be solved my self and how.....
This is algebra 1. I called a math teacher I know and she says to set them equal to each other. So long as we keep it in degrees, angle ACB is equal to arc AB @Nixy
hint: we can write this proportion: \[\Large \frac{{\pi r}}{{180}} = \frac{{x + 1}}{{\frac{x}{2} + 6}}\] where r is the radius of your circumference
nevertheless we have to know the measure of r
Ok, Since she/he said to keep them equal so if ACB = AB then \( \huge \frac{1}{2}x + 6 = x+ 1 \) x = 10
Yeah, Ill try it that way because it's the only method that gives me an answer. If you want, I'll let you know what the correct answer is after I turn it in
Yes, please let me know. Thank you.
np, thanks for your help
The answer was 10, I got it correct :) @Nixy
Sweet!!! Great!!
