Algebra 1 Help please
09.06 Option 1 This is an independent project. You are going to write a fairy tale! Your story should include all of the standard elements of fairy tales. •Begins “Once upon a time … ” •Animals can act like humans. •Involves magical items or helpers. •Ends “ … happily ever after.” Your story must also fully cover these math concepts. This is an educational fairy tale … the best kind! •Create a quadratic function with two real zeros. •Solve a system of non-linear equations with a graph. •Solve a system of non-linear equations with a table. •Compare linear, quadratic, and exponential growth functions using a table and a graph. Submit the graph and table. •Identify that exponential functions exceed linear and quadratic functions. You may present your fairy tale as a document, a slideshow presentation, a comic book, a video, or other medium. Any steps or work must be shown.
@jcoury
tag people you know
@keith2015
i would use http://www.animaker.com/ if you wanted to tell the story with visuals as well as visuals of the steps of math
or also movie maker on the computer
that website is cool!
good
that animaker
ah okay
@OregonDuck
yes?!?
lol
get an account for animaker it is soooo cool

holy! this is so difficult
@Hero
Not as difficult as it appears.
it is anything that is math is hard for me
plz help us though
hero can you help plz?!
Unicorn Zelda lives in a magical forest with trees that produce numbers, variables, and operators rather than fruit. With her friend Unicorn Barbie, together they decided to see what they could make with these elements. Unicorn Zelda snagged an x, a plus sign, and a 4 and made x - 4. Unicorn Barbie made y + 2. Out of curiosity, they decided to see what would happen if they multiplied them all together. (x - 4)(y - 2) = ? Okay, it's not all that great, but that gives you an idea of what you could do. The more thought you put into it, the better it gets.
lemme try...perhaps the antagonist starts a shop. business picking up initially could be an exponential function (very dangerous). cost : sales ratio could be the systems of equation
ok thanks guys
@Hero would it work for a slideshow?!
dayum unicorn zelda!
no doc would work better
Yeah, if you can draw, then it would work perfectly. You can draw unicorn zelda picking mathematical items from a tree.
texmaker is you are up for the challenge ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
ok!! thanks @Hero a lot I appreciate it!!!
@hero is that all the story needs (all the stuff from the check list is in there)
It was just an example. I can't do the assignment for you.
i understand but does it have it all the stuff from the checklist because i am going to use that to work off of
yea
he just gave you a quadratic only
quadratic and linear
oh ok so i will work off that and add the other stuff
Well, I didn't include Once upon a time or Happily Ever After.
lol
i know i willl add that one mine :)
that is an easy add on
If anyone decides to draw, the numbers, variables and operators should look colorful and glittery as would be expected from a fairy tale.
your best bet is to read some problem sets of business course questions
they have all the stuff you need to cover in your assignment
ok good! :)
gd luck
Once Upon a time there was a Unicorn named Zelda. Zelda lives in a magical forest with trees that produce numbers, variables, and operators rather than fruit. With her friend Unicorn Barbie, together they decided to see what they could make with these elements. Unicorn Zelda snagged an x, a minus sign, and a 4 and made x - 4. Unicorn Barbie made y + 2. Out of curiosity, they decided to see what would happen if they multiplied them all together. (x - 4)(y - 2) = ?
like that example
help please
like?
with a full fairy tale
i can tell you where to get the ideas for the maths part but you need to tweak it yourself
you ok with that?
