OpenStudy (aishanuwang):

In the phrase "D'accord, alors," would the final D in D'accord be pronounced since it's followed by an A, or is it still pronounced like "dakor, alor"?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

No you do not make the liason between different sentences, or when separated by a comma or most other punctuation signs. For a list of situations where liason should be, or should not be applied, see for example: http://www.lepointdufle.net/ressources_fle/liaisons_obligatoires_liaisons_interdites.htm

OpenStudy (vheah):

Since there is a comma between D'accord and alors, you don't do a liason between the two. so it's pronounced "dakor, alor" like what you wrote.

OpenStudy (aishanuwang):

Thank you both!

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@aishanuwang you're welcome! :)
