Use the associative property to identify which expression is equal to (21)(7)(3x). (21 x 7 x3) x (7)(21)(3x) 32(7 + 3x) (3x)(7)(21)<----my answer

@UsukiDoll

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

we need associative property of multiplication which is in the form of a x ( b x c) = (a x b) x c where a,b,c are any real numbers

OpenStudy (jack1):

why not B also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bcs it has to only be one answer i thought it was D

OpenStudy (jack1):

fair nuff

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

hmm assuming that a = 21, b = 7, c = 3x 21 x (7 x 3x) = (21 x 7) x 3x but hmm there's gotta be one not in the parenthesis and that's what is throwing me off.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so am i wrong or right o.o

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I'm a bit confused... one too many parenthesis going on here.

OpenStudy (jack1):

(21 x 7 x3) x is the x outside the brackets an x or a multiplication sign?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its the X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its the x

OpenStudy (jack1):

k A, B and D are all correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but there can only be one awnser o.o

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

C is just distribution . so that's out I know . Can you take a screenshot of this question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://prntscr.com/82kgwy

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

wait maybe a (b)(c) = (a)(b) c in that format instead... nugh why is there an extra () -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its sooooo complicated -.-

OpenStudy (jack1):

A associativve property refers to the changing the order regardless of the parenthesis A is the only one which puts a number out of the brackets i'd go A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

the notation is throwing me off. oh thank you @Jack1 . yes go with a.

OpenStudy (jack1):

guess... but yeah others (B and D) are kinda too similar to original C doesnt equal original so A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ill go with a lets see what happens o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!!! It was correct cx

OpenStudy (jack1):

:D

OpenStudy (jack1):

team five ;)

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

woohoo
