@ganeshie8 no one is helping

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

patience!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well when you substitute the given information you get an equation \[h(t) = -16t^2 +110t + 150\] so how high is the object when it hits the ground...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it shoots up from 150 ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 do i make h(t)=0?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

no how high is it when it hits the ground...it a simple concept...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

great so let h(t) = 0 then \[-16t^2 + 110t + 150 = 0\] now solve for t only use the positive answer... you could use the general quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok one sec let me solve it quickly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 sec?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that's what I got.. well done
