The coordinates of point P on a coordinate grid are (−5, −6). Point P is reflected across the y-axis to obtain point Q and across the x-axis to obtain point R. What are the coordinates of points Q and R? Q(5, 6) and R(−5, −6) Q(−5, −6) and R(5, 6) Q(−5, 6) and R(5, −6) Q(5, −6) and R(−5, 6)

okay, so you just want answers or explains?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, point Q is the reflection of P on y-axis, also a refection to R on x-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is point Q if it was a reflection of P over y-axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

er.... i just give you the answers then. We know P (-5,-6), when Q is a reflection of P over y-axis so Q ( 5,-6). But you also know that R is a reflection of P over x-axis, so it will be R (-5,6). So your answers is Q (5,-6) and R (-5,6). It easier if you just graph it out :)
