OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

Oxygen has a charge of -2 There are 12 oxygens (4x3) for a charge of -24 Al has a charge of +3 We want it to be neutral 3-24= -21 There are 3 Cl So 21/3=7 So the charge of chlorine is +7
