Determine the length of the object shown. 1.2 cm 1.3 cm 1.25 cm 1.250 cm
1cm=10mm here count the marks you will get 12 so 1.2 cm
i don't get it?

It is 1.25cm. Notice the obvious residue approaching exactly half the least precision point.
However, as a general rule of thumb we physicists round up 1.25cm to have it be 1.3cm because to assign more digits than the measuring device can offer is considered absurd.
are you sure?
O ya, its 1.25.... silly mistake....
so is it 1.25cm
However if you are using the measured length as an intermediate number it would be 1.25cm. Because all intermediary digits are expected to increase sig figs+1. Again, it all depends on the context however I would assume this is a high school work so assumption is allowed to some degree.
nice eyes @Robert136
i have another question like this think you can help?
Determine the length of the object shown. 97.8 mm 97.80 mm 97 mm 98 mm
9.8 cm This time no mistake for sure.......
there's no answer 9.8 cm
9.8cm=98mm
Got it ? @Neal9999
are you sure?
yes 100%
can you answer another for me then?
Determine the length of the object shown. 7 cm 7.2 cm 72.5 mm 72.50 mm
yes sure
both C & D are right
you can only pick one
@Robert136 Is there any difference between 72.5 and 72.50, No way there is any difference..... for accuracy I guess 72.50 is taken.
To your surprise there is actually a difference between those numbers. Signifiant digit is assigned depending on to which extent the measuring device can offer accuracy. 72.5 implies that the measuring device was able to measure until to the tenth precision. On the other hand 72.5 could signify the from larger than or equal to 72.25 to smaller than 72.75. On the other hand the second case implies that the measuring device was able to conclude to the precision point of hundreath with absolute certainty that at thousandth the range is larger than or equal to 72.495 or smaller than 72.505. Again I'd rather keep this simple but the bottom line is there IS a difference between 72.5 and 72.50. Long story short, the difference is the level of accuracy and signifiance offerred by each. Sorry for the long explanation.
So for better precision 72.50 should be the correct answer @Robert136
