How do the characteristics of living things contribute to an animals survival

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow, that is one vague question! So many things to consider! Are there any options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sadly no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then I don't think I can give you a very accurate response. sorry bout that :/ Do you have any idea as to what the answer might be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has something to do with cells, energy & metabolism, reacting to stimuli, and being able to reproduce & develop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm really sorry, but I have no clue about what the answer might be!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (rushwr):

eye size and position - nocturnal animals have larger eyes to gather more light as it gets dark; prey animals have eyes to the sides of their heads, so they have a larger field of vision (they can see more area around them to see an approaching preadtor) while predators usually have forward-facing eyes for binocular vision, so they can judge distance (to their prey) better adaption of limbs for locomotion - monkeys, apes, opposums have flexible finger/toes for climbing, fish have fins, and some amphibians have webed feet for swimming, hooved animals are good runners fur/shedding - for better insulation in cold seasons, less insulation is needed when it's warm

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

In my 7th grade bio textbook, they defined 7 characteristic of living organism, so if you can list all of them and give an example each, that's the correct one. I remeber one being reproduction, one response to stimuli, one obtain nutrition from outside world. forgotten other 4

1 AWARENESS 2 BEING IN GROUP 3 REPRODUCTION 4 EYESIGHT 5 HUNTING TACTICS 6 HOME
