the highest point (which you can click on to have the coordinates show) is the point (0,5) the range is the set of possible y values, or outputs, of a function. The graph shows us that anything from y = 5 or below is a valid range value. Anything about y = 5 is not possible So we say the range is \(\Large y \le 5\) which in interval notation is \(\Large (-\infty, 5]\) Notice the use of parenthesis and square brackets
the parenthesis says "exclude this endpoint" the square bracket says "include this endpoint"
