https://gyazo.com/4e652ca3b2a082d7b67b6524caa9724e PLEASE HELP ME I AM REALLY STRUGGLING
I have been working so hard on this course
I have 2 more questions
jeez i got a headache just looking at this
and I am really worried I am going to mess up
i am going to make a guess
I cant take a guess man
`jeez i got a headache just looking at this ` I agree. They couldn't have made this more convoluted
9 more than four times jenny's number if we call jenny''s number \(n\) then that would be \(4n+9\) to go in the inside parentheses
ok
in the outside would go a \(3\)
in other words, the top line would look like \[3(4n+9)-2\]
ok Ive got that
normally it is a bad idea to give out direct answer, but frankly (not to boast) if it takes me ten minutes to understand the wording, lets call it a gift
THank you
last step is to multiply out and combine like terms to get the bottom answers
Let R = robbie's number J = jenny's number K = kylie's number W = willie's number we know that Jenny made 'n' her number "Robbie picked a number that is nine more than four times Jennie's number" means that R = 4n+9 ---------------- For Willie, it says "Willie picked a number that is two less than three times Robbie's number" telling us W = 3R - 2 From here you replace the R with 4n+9 because the two are equivalent, so you should have 3(4n+9) - 2
