Triangle PQR has been dilated to form triangle P'Q'R'. What is the least amount of information needed to determine if the two triangles are similar? A. Segments PR and P'R' are congruent, and segments QR and Q'R' are congruent. B. Angle R=R', angle Q=Q', and segments QR and Q'R' are congruent. C. Segment QR=Q'R', segment PR=P'R', and angles Q and Q' are congruent. D. Angles Q and Q' are congruent, and angles R and R' are congruent.

Mehek (mehek14):

when dilating, you enlarge/deduct the pre-image so none of the segments are congruent - they are similar however, angles measures stay the same

Mehek (mehek14):

so which one can it b @maria234 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In my opinion is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But im not sure.

Mehek (mehek14):

D is correct angles are always congruent when a figure is dilated

Thank you so much! do you think you could help me with another one?

Mehek (mehek14):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll tag you in another post so i can give you another medal!
