What led to the Tuscarora War between Carolina settlers and American Indians in 1711? The local tribes attacked Jamestown and burned it to the ground. The settlers captured American Indians to use as enslaved labor. The American Indian tribes began to encroach on the settlers’ land. American Indians interfered with trade between the settlers and Britain.
what do you think?
I dont know
did option C happen to mean that the settlers were encroaching on the Indians land and not the other way around?
Yes, thats what it means
Okay just making sure :) haha Option C would be correct then. This is because the settlers were encroaching on the native Americans lands. At first, the Tuscarora tried to emigrate to Pennsylvania, but were denied by the Pennsylvanian government. So, in 1711, in order to A) get their land back, and B) retaliate against the settlers, Chief Hanwingspan of the Tuscarora organized 500 warriors to drive out the colonists. The colonist didn't anticipate bloodshed however, and were slaughtered. This soon began the Tuscarora war :)
