A scientist takes a material and manages to insert it into a much smaller container without any material loss. The scientist is likely working with: Solid Gas Liquid None of the above
@sweetburger
Which of these is the most compressible?
solid?
In a solid the atoms that make up the solid are firmly held in place through intramolecular connections and have very little ability to compress or expand. So in this case not a solid. What would be your next choice on which of the 3 is most compressible.
liquid
Although liquids can be more easily compressed or expanded than solids they are still not the most easily compressible of the three materials. Time for process of elimination.
so gas
are you sure
Alright ill draw you an example.
|dw:1441030298420:dw| gases can be compressed into smaller volumes and still maintain the same amount of gas
