Said in a very "basic" way You are saying two things with the ^ 1) p is there AND (the ^) 2) if p is there, q is there So finally we conclude that q must be there because we were told that if p was there q was there, and (because of the ^) we were also told that p was there :) Hope this helps. I live in Oregon and we have new laws.
