What is a difference between ATP and ADP molecules? ADP can be used to directly power movement, while ATP cannot. ATP molecules provide less energy to the cell than ADP molecules. ATP has three phosphate groups, while ADP has two phosphate groups. ADP is only made in plants, while ATP is made in both plants and animals.

sorry cant help with this

OpenStudy (rushwr):

ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate ADP stands for Adenosine Di Phosphate Therefor ADP has less energy than ATP. So the answer will be 3

OpenStudy (greatlife44):

Adenosine, tri-phosphate. There are some things to note here: We need to break down the name(s) in order to understand them better: Adenosine Tri-Phosphate means ( Tri = 3) Phosphate so there are three phosphate groups. Adenosine Di-Phosphate means (Di = 2) 2 Phosphate groups. Here, we can see the presence of a nitrogenous base, Adenine, connected to a 5 membered ring, as well as a phosphate group. |dw:1441743475097:dw| ATP is important because it's practically our cells energy currency; In-fact cells are willing to sacrifice, do un-favorable chemical reactions to get ATP. Most of our ATP comes from a fascinating chemical reaction called (the electron transport chain), although reactions like glycolysis, and the TCA cycle are also important.
