Explanation: I believe that if we obtained data on these variables, we might find that students of wealthier parents tend to have higher SAT scores. This may be because their parents are more educated, have more books around the house, or a variety of other reasons.

do do you have any data sets...?

bivariate means you need to connect 2 things

so the data is in pairs, that can be plotted on the number plane...

so things like

(person's height, their arm span) maybe get 10 of those measures and plot them

maybe height and shoe size

then something else...

but you can't do anything until you have the data, and plot the points in each set.

well it asks you to create the data sets...

so you need to go and ask people if you can take some measurements...

1st step is to get your 3 data sets... and only then can you look at answering the questions.

so to get a set of data

find 10 people or more people and

1. measure their heights then measure their arm span

record the data in pairs e.g. John: height arm span

you'll need to same units so measure in inches or centimetres

next

set 2: height and shoe size

record it in pairs

Set 3 last exam result in maths and hours of study each week on maths...

put the data into an excel spreadsheet and create a scatter plot....


so in terms of height and arm span

Explanatory: height
Response : Arm Span
Suspected relationship: there is a strong positive correlation between a person's height and arm span. The taller you are the closer your arm span is to your height...

that's what they are looking for

the scatter plot will allow you to see if there is a connection... and then you can determine if its linear or something else...

its a big thing that can't be done on here....

but 1st you need to define what data to collect and then go and get it
