GEOMETRY HELP PLEASE? BEST ANSWER AWARDED! Whats the first thing you have to construct to prove the isosceles triangle theorem? What's the difference between illustrating a theorem and proving it?
@jcoury do you know any of this?
@geny55 do you know any of this?
im in geometry but i don't know what that theorem is
dang, thanks anyways
@jcoury do you know the difference between illustrating a theorem vs proving it?
@madhu.mukherjee.946
nope sorry
first using your compass and straight edge, construct an isosceles triangle.
ok
what now
Using your compass and straight edge, bisect the vertex angle.
so is that the first thing you have to construct to prove the isosceles triangle theorem?
yeah
ok so just to be clear (sorry lol i just want to make sure i understand it) the first thing you have to construct to prove the isosceles triangle theorem is bisect the vertex angle right?
yes .But before that you need to construct the triangle
ok makes sense, thanks, could you help with the second question?
What's the difference between illustrating a theorem and proving it?
@madhu.mukherjee.946
to prove a theorem it means that you got to show that the theorem is valid
illustrating a theorem means to explain a theorem maybe with a diagram and also with the help of a proof sometimes
yeah i know what you mean but my teacher asked this: i want to talk about illustrating a theorem vs proving it, i dont get it, does she want the difference or something?
yeah she wants the difference
oh alright, thanks for your help! ill award you best response!
welcome!
@madhu.mukherjee.946 sorry i have one more question !
