Determine number of oxygen atoms in 5.33 g of quartz. Quartz is SiO2... I just need some guidance.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you should find the molar mass of SiO2 (It is 60 gr/mol) then use this formula: mol=mass/molar mass mol=5.33/60=0.088 every mol is about 6/022 *10^23 atoms and SiO2 has two oxygen atoms so ....

ok. Give me a sec. I'll try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 4.416x10^22 atoms of Oxygen?
