Intercept is where a line crosses the axis. So, where would you cross the y axis and where would you cross the x axis?

Um im not sure

`y-intercept is 9`
where is that on the blank xy axis?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
LIke this?
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
@anaaxcx click the pencil on my drawing
then plot where you think 9 is on the xy axis
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

That point is (3,9). The coordinate for an intercept on the y axis is (0, #) and for the x axis is (#, 0).
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
the y axis is the vertical axis
so the y intercept must go on this vertical axis somewhere
