OpenStudy (anonymous):

3600 sec = 1 hour 40.75 ft/sec = (40.75 ft/sec) x (1 mile / 5280 ft) x (3600 sec / 1 hour) = 27.784 miles/hour So in one hour, the car travels approx. 27.784 miles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 mile =5280 ft 1 hour= 3600 sec. (1 hour=60 min, 1 min = 60 sec. than 60 min * 60 sec = 3600 second or 1 hour 40.75 ft in one sec * 3600 sec (that's how many sec got one hour) = 146700 ft it is for one hour....then you have too divide 146700 ft with 5280 ft to got the miles 146700/ 5280 = 27 mil and 784 ft
