Define the law of syllogism.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

if A implies B, and B implies C Then A implies C

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

example: If it is a horse then it has 4 legs, if it has four legs it has four hooves We can get rid of the middle mad If it is a horse, then it has four hooves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so it's if A = B, and B = C, then A must = C.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

Not equals, but same idea

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

implies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok and could you please also help me with the law of detachment?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

If something being true implies something else is true and that first thing is true, then the second thing must be true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so since A implies B and B is proven true then A must be true.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

opposite

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

a implies b and a is proven then b is true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gotcha thanks :)
