Volumetric
Hey WELCOME TO OPEN STUDY !!!!!! What's your question ?
How I can solve a volumetric analysis?
Calculate the molarity of 25.0 mL of a monoprotic acid if it took 45.5 ml of .25 M KOH to neutrralized the acid?
\[Molarity = \frac{ molesof the acid }{ total volume of the solution }\]
Monoprotic acids are the ones tat give out 1 proton/ 1 H^+ that is an acid like HCl So 1st write the balanced equation for this reaction HCl + KOH ----> KCl + H2O As u can see the reaction between HCl and KOH is 1:1 Now we have to find the moles of KOH concentration = moles divided by volume moles = volume * concentration As we can see the no. of moles of KOH = no. of moles HCl Now u know the moles of HCl The total volume the solution = volume of HCl + volume of KOH Now substitute these values to the mentioned equation !
Thanks a lot. You should be my teacher. He never wrote this on board he just used power point.
