Which ordered pair is a solution to y=x-2 a. (3,1) b. (1,3) c. (-1,3) d. (-3,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you tried plugging in your x and y values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats 3-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, all of them turned out false but I am probably doing something wrong. and 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There you go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If coordinates are written as (x,y) finding the answer just involves simple math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is one of the easiest solutions you can get. I didn't give you the answer. I let you do it and gave you hint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Austin1617 lol you gave away the answer when you asked what 3-1 was...there's only 1 coordinate up there with the x value of 3... @mBanegas what values did you plug in for x and y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the work I did, I am just trying to figure out where i went wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres actually two cordinates with the x value of 3 even if it was A I want to know how he got to that conclusion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's probably because you multiplied -2 instead of subtracting 2 from x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh. alright. My bad xD Thank you two!
