But how are cells different? How do we group them in a meaningful way? How are plants, animals, and bacteria different? How are they the same?
got it
The most basic difference between cells is the division between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells are simple cells that lack a cell nucleus or other membrane-enclosed structures. The cells of eukaryotes contain membrane-enclosed structures such as a nucleus and organelles. Plants and animals are eukaryotic organisms. There is one very important similarity between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Both have components that allow them to meet life’s challenges. They obtain energy and nutrients, maintain their structures, and reproduce.
Yes. Also, animal cells do not have a cell wall. Where as, plants and bacteria do. (gram positive and negative bacteria both have cell walls but their composition of it is just a little different)

. (1 pt) What is the purpose of the plasma membrane? A. makes food for the cell B. reproduces cells C. keeps the cell small D. encloses specific structures
A. :) Because it keeps bad stuff out and feeds the cell whats necessary!
2. (1 pt) Suppose you use a microscope to look at a cell from the leaf of a tree. What structure will you see that would not be found in a cell from your fingernail? A. mitochondria B. cilia C. cell wall D. ribosomes
