help pls A 12 V battery has an internal resistance of 0.05 ohm. Two load are connected in parallel across its terminals, the fire drawing a current of 12 A and the other taking a power of 200 watts. Determine the load terminal voltage.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

choices are a) 12 v b) 11.04 v c) 10.44v d) 8.54v

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Draw the circuit with load of 12 A and I, with V across the load. You have two unknowns, I, V and therefore need two equations to solve. Use circuit analysis for one and P = IV for the other, have a good time calculating.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The voltage across both parallel loads will be 10.44 v or 0.96 v either by solving the quadratic equation. Hence option (c) is correct.

I hope I could post the image of solution on paper for illustration.
