who goes to connections academy????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and is in algebra II??????????

@redred154 @sarrr_15 @katie00

@WildQueen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wym connection academy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does wym stand for??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am in Honors Algebra 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is ur question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i have a question. solve the system by using a table {-0.6x-0.6y=-0.6 {0.5x-0.3y=-2.7 a. (4,-3) B.(-3,4) c. (-4,-3) d. (-3,-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand what they are asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u plug in the x and y values given and see which one's give u -0.6 or -2.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or u can do it by elimination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok thank you. if you dont mind imma plug some in and when i think i have\ know teh answer imma make sure with you that its correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, first off, I would suggest learning how to use a table to solve the system. If you need to get it done now, you could also use a coordinate plane and graph them, elimination, or substitution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B.(-3,4) is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I personally don't think giving you the answer is right, but I can help you out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. thankyou for the answer 2. i kinda wish you didnt give me the answer so quickly but its fine i thought that was the answer in the first place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need help in understanding why that is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Although it was already given to you, it is important that you understand why that is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand it was just confusing on how i was supposed to answer it so when the comment said plug in values i ended up getting what to do but thankyou though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand how to use elimination and substitution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok. Well, good luck then!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is elimination and substitution the same thing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, they are two different methods to solve a system. They are the "algebraic" way to solve a system of equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand how to use them? You may have to use them at the end of your lesson on the WorkPad. I'm not sure if it is different for Honors, but I know that I had to use them at the end.
