How to find the limiting reagant when you are only given the balanced equation: 2Mg + O2 --> 2MgO ?

I need to know so I can calculate the theoretical yield of MgO. :(
If you used excess oxygen then you dont really need the mass
If this was done in lab in the open where there's excess oxygen rather than a closed environment, then Mg is your limiting reactant.
