Can someone explain very simply how to do stoichiometry?

OpenStudy (mtepecz):

Do you have a specific problem you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so let's just say you need to convert 25 grams of sodium to moles. Stoichiometry is like dealing with conversion of units Since you have 25 grams of sodium, you need to divide it by the atomic mass of Sodium which is 23 g/mole in order for the grams of sodium to be cancelled. In 1 mole of sodium, you have 23 g. \[25 grams x \frac{ 1 mole }{ 23 grams } = 1.09 moles \]

@mtepecz Not really a specific one. I was more confused on why or how they get to the answers.

but thank you @martaamador62
