How is pressure different from force?

From Newton's law, we can see that a force is any mass times the acceleration with which it moves! F=ma However, pressure is the force over a certain cross sectional area A. So let's say that I have a 50N object on top of a circular sensor with a radius of 5m \[\huge \sigma =\frac{ F }{ A }=\frac{ F }{ \pi r^2 }=\frac{ 50 }{ 25\pi }\] \(\sigma\) in this case is the engineering term for a particular case of load over an area, termed `Stress` They are equivalent. Stress or pressure is measured in units of force over units of area. In our case, our units are \[\large \frac{N}{m^2}\]
