Solve 3x^2 = sin(x+2) graphically and explain why we don't have periodic solutions to this equation when we often get periodic solutions to other equations. Either paste an image of your graph, or explain your window parameters and the steps you took to solve them.

when comparig them what should I be looking for in the difference. I am not quite sure what is meant by the question.
i think it depends on what you are studying.....and to what level. 2 periodic functions will [might] have periodic solutions. so sin x = cos x will have periodicity. a non-periodic function and a periodic one may not have periodic solution. so x = sin x will not but 0 = sin x will have periodic solutions. or 0.5 = sin x. if that does not satisfy you, i'd recommend that a "proper" mathematician, like @freckles, looks at this
