OpenStudy (zaraxx):

will give medal pls help !!! Write a balanced net ionic net equation for the following reaction. BaCI2(aq) +H2SO4(aq)--->BaSO4(s)+HCI(aq)

OpenStudy (jebonna):

First balance the equation: \[BaCl _{2} + H _{2}SO _{4} \rightarrow BaSO _{4} + 2HCl\] Now write the total net ionic equation: \[Ba ^{2+} + 2Cl ^{-} + 2H ^{+} + SO _{4}^{2-} \rightarrow BaSO _{4} + 2H ^{+} + 2Cl ^{-}\] Now cross out the ions that appear on both sides: \[Ba ^{2+} + SO _{4}^{2-} \rightarrow BaSO _{4}\] Now you have the net ionic equation. To help do these net ionic equations refer to the table of solubility so you know what compounds break up and what don't. Here's a link to one I find useful: http://www.chem.sc.edu/faculty/morgan/resources/solubility/ I hope its right, feel free to correct me :) (These aren't my strong point)
