OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write a rule that represents the function (0,-1), (1,0), (2,7), (3,26), (4,63)

OpenStudy (danjs):

someone had a question the other day that i had to look at about the order of a polynomial by a difference of each value

OpenStudy (danjs):

y increases by 1 7 19 37 6 12 18 6 6 it takes 3 times to get to a constant value

OpenStudy (danjs):

if you have a polynomial order n=3, then it takes 3 derivatives to get to a constant value

OpenStudy (danjs):

i forget what that process is called now, difference thing

OpenStudy (danjs):

some rule in algebra , given n points, you can fit a polynomial of degree (n-1) or less to those points

OpenStudy (danjs):

just rememebered 'finite difference' is what that is called for that difference in y value thing -- if that is what you learned

OpenStudy (danjs):

or for calc, something about showing power rule and polynomials
