are you able to help with this?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

the answer you picked looks right to me would you like an explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just guessed, so....yes an explanation would be helpful

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

ok, we just divided every term by x so 5x divided by x becomes x 3x^2 divided by x becomes 3x 2x^4 divided by x becomes 2x^3

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

*5x divided by x becomes 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also, can you stick around to help with a couple more?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

start by factoring the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you combine like terms?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

nope after we factor we get (x+4)(x+2) in the numerator and 4(x+2) in the denominator the (x+2) cancels out to get (x+4)/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you get done here, can you come help Jacks1996?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
