find the derivative of f(x)=2x^2+x-1 using difference quotient

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Power rule would be easier. There isn't any division in this problem, so not sure about difference quotient

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to do it using differnece quotient though

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

Note that any number can have a "1" as a divisor so therefore: \[f(x)=\frac{ 2x^2+x-1 }{ 1 }\]
