Which is the equation of the given line? A. x = –3 B. x = 3 C. y = –3 D. y = –3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathwiz916

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jjuden

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Well, look at the line. Is it vertical, horizontal, or slanted? A vertical line is a set of points which all have the same \(x\) value. A horizontal line is a set of points which all have the same \(y\) value. A slanted line is a going to be a function of \(x\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soooo

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

@superman38 what will the value of \(y\) be when \(x=0\) if your answer is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the answer then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah b..you can elimunate the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank u can u help with a few more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is the equation of the given line in slope-intercept form?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

No need to "eliminate the rest" here, this problem is very easy :-) The answer is NOT B. B is \(x=3\), which is a vertical line where all the points have an \(x\) value of \(3\).

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Don't post quiz or test problems here or you'll get in trouble...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then whats the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm its ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could u help with this one @Zgirly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't listen 2 the kid..its so ok.. @walspalmer4 i'm sure that you have done that before

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

why does it say "quiz Q4" in the URL? I explained to you how to work through this problem. Do you understand what a horizontal line is? Vertical?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @Zgirly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

@zaynsboo you are getting bad advice from @Zgirly here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg this is my jam! I love these problems!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soooo could u help @Zgirly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why isnt anyone actually helping :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wht was the pro again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is the equation of the given line in slope-intercept form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there any answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh damn im stuck on this 1 im not tht smart at math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):
