HELP FOR A MEDAL! How do you convert y=-1/2x+4
to
x=6t-2 , y=-3t+5
?????

i guess you make up the \(x=6t-2\) part, the substitute in to \(y=-\frac{1}{2}x+4\)

you get \[y=-\frac{1}{2}(6t-2)+4\] then algebra

you just make it up? I used x=t and it turned out to be the same graph. Does that mean there can be multiple parametric equations?

if you use \(x=t\) you might as well just use \(x=x\)
