Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Jonathan is the quarterback of the football team. A. run-on sentence B. complete sentence C. sentence fragment I think this is a complete sentence ,but when I looked the question up on google some said it's a sentence fragment so i'm unsure

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

Well, there's a subject - Jonathan Object, I THINK would be playing football. Isn't that all you need for a complete sentence? Sorry if I'm a little rusty on this - haven't studied it in a while.

I'm pretty sure, that's what I think also so should I put complete sentence?

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

It seems like a perfectly complete sentence to me. I can't imagine where it would be a fragment, much less a run-on.

Yeah I guess so this is the definition of a complete sentence anyways: A complete sentence is a group of words related by meaning, which: Starts with a capital letter and ends with a period (exclamation or question marks); Has a subject and a verb predicate (which should agree with each other in number); Has a complete thought. It fits along those lines right?

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

In my opinion, absolutely.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok well thanks for your help!

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

The verb tense agrees, it's a complete and finished thought, it has a subject - yes.

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

you're welcome :)
