@whpalmer4 help pls

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

what is your favorite variable name?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh boy, its brenda of course

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

brenda is a bit of lengthy variable name, how about a single letter?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Let's go with \(x\). if \(x\) is an even integer, what is an expression (in terms of \(x\) for the next even integer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm, I saw what I was doing wrong, i got the answer, i appreciate that you'd at least answered? i got 38, 40, and 42. if you don't believe me :L

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Yes, those heights work. One way you could do this is to take the total and simply divide it by 3. That of course gives you 3 identical heights, and you make one the even integer before, and one the even integer after the (average) value you got. 120/3 = 40, so one kid is 40, one kid is 40-2 and one kid is 42.
